Position Overview:
As an RV Service Writer / Warranty Writer, you will be responsible for coordinating and facilitating all aspects of RV service and warranty claims.
You will serve as the primary point of contact for customers, providing them with exceptional service while accurately documenting their concerns and requirements.
Your ability to multitask, communicate effectively, and maintain strong organizational skills will be essential for success in this role.
Key
Responsibilities:
Greet customers, listen attentively to their concerns, and accurately document service requests and warranty claims.
Conduct thorough inspections of RVs, identifying and documenting all service and warranty-related issues.
Collaborate with service technicians to obtain repair estimates, ensuring clear and comprehensive documentation.
Communicate with customers regarding repair estimates, timelines, and any additional service recommendations.
Coordinate the scheduling of repairs and maintenance work, balancing customer expectations with service department capacity.
Serve as a liaison between customers and the warranty department, processing warranty claims efficiently and accurately.
Maintain detailed records of all customer interactions, service requests, repairs, and warranty claims in our database.
Provide regular updates to customers regarding the status of their service and warranty claims.
Ensure a smooth and seamless handover of completed RVs to customers, explaining the work that was performed and addressing any questions or concerns.
Strive to exceed customer expectations by delivering exceptional service and fostering long-lasting relationships.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Previous experience as an RV Service Writer, Warranty Writer, or in a related customer service role within the RV industry is highly preferred.
Solid knowledge of recreational vehicles, their components, and common maintenance and repair issues.
Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to explain technical concepts to customers in a clear and understandable manner.
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Proficient computer skills, including experience with service management software and databases.
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and professional demeanor.
Ability to work collaboratively with service technicians and other team members to ensure timely and accurate completion of repairs and warranty claims.
Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and handle challenging situations with patience and composure.
High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical or vocational certifications in the RV industry are a plus.
